Are you struggling to come to terms with a health issue?
Are you anxious about starting to exercise in case you do more harm than good?
Perhaps you are self-conscious and lacking in body-confidence
Perhaps you are pregnant for the first time, trying to recover your fitness after childbirth, or finding it difficult to fit in time for yourself with family and work commitments
A consultation and personal training session in your own home is often the best setting for both you and for me. You don't have to travel anywhere and I can observe you in your own space, see what you might be able to use to help you and alert you to what might be hindering you! This might involve looking at stairs, doorways, kitchen units as exercise tools; it might also involve noticing habits that are getting in the way of improving your quality of life. As a health psychologist, coach and exercise specialist my aim is to listen to you, work with you and find out the best way to assist you in helping yourself to a better lifestyle.
Whether you are younger or older, fitter or fatter, stronger or weaker, well or ill there is no reason why you cannot find some benefits from undertaking appropriate exercise. I have over 20 years' experience working with a range of people and numerous health conditions and life situations. Perhaps some simple breathing techniques and gentle seated movements would suit you, or perhaps you need some guidance using exercise equipment that you bought but are scared to use. You might need some support in regaining confidence following diagnosis or after treatment for cancer, or maybe you have had a negative experience with exercise in the past and would like some help to come to terms with that and to find motivation and self-belief to undertake a lifestyle change. Whatever is drawing you to read this page is likely to be a good reason for giving it a go...
